Food & I have a love/hate relationship...

So last night for dinner I had chicken parmesan, a salad, broccoli, & a small piece of apple pie. Breakfast was the last Carnation thing & a Vita Top (those are the bomb!!!).
Lunch was the worst possible choice I could make. The buffet as Mexico Lindo. Now I want to go into a food coma. It's bad. I have no excuse.

In the beginning...

My name is Sarah Cook.
I'm 25, I work at a day care in Smyrna, GA, I am 5'8 & I weigh 258 lbs.
I've been reading that putting your life on the internet helps you lose weight. The idea is that if you write down what you eat that you'll be more aware. Food is definately my problem. Before starting at my current job I weighed almost 300 lbs. That was the lowest point of my life. My sister made a deal with me & I started jogging & eating better & I lost 50 lbs. I did, however, gain some of it back. So now I've decided to work my butt off (although sadly I don't have much of one. I would like to work my butt on, actually. But you get the point.). I started Zumba & water aerobics last week & I love both of them. I've got great support but I need to blog to fight my inner demons. Portion control is my most aggravating demon. I don't know why I can't stop. It's not like I'm not going to eat again in the next few hours but for some reason I can't make myself believe that. So I'm going to start blogging everything I eat. Everything. No matter how ashamed I am of it. I really believe it's the only way to get me out of this. So here it is. Here I am. I'm not doing this for anyone else but me. I'm determined to get below 200 lbs. It's my long term goal. I know I can do it. I just have to buckle down. This is part of that.
So. Yesterday I had a banana & a Carnation Instant Breakfast for breakfast (I won't be getting those anymore. They have too much sugar). I eat lunch at my grandparents house almost every day & when I got there yesterday she had made me cube steak & gravy with white rice, biscuits, & cantaloupe. I couldn't say no & of course I had seconds but it was half than I had the first time. I also had a low sodium V8. For dinner I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup & 2 tuna fish sandwiches.
This morning for breakfast I had a granola bar with yogurt on it (not the best) & another Carnation Instant Breakfast (I'm trying to finish them off).
For lunch I'm having a roast beef sandwich with cheese & a little bit of mayo with Healthy Choice Campbell's Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup. I also had a V8. I have one every day. I'll probably find something sweet. Like a piece of chocolate.
Now you see what I mean by portion control.
